We offer various classes within our Gym For All pathway, these are the first stages of our competitive programme, offering gymnasts 1.5hrs-7hrs per week of training dependent of group.

Children will be invited if they have the tumbling and vaulting ability to compete in the Welsh Gymnastics Gym for All and Tumbling competitions.

The gymnasts in Gym Infants & Gym Juniors are continuously monitored to identify those ready to start the GFA classes.

If you would like your child to be assessed for this class, please contact Ryan the head of GFA [email protected] or speak with your child’s coach as they will be best positioned to determine if this pathway would suit them.

Our squad coaching team will carefully select gymnasts to follow this pathway if they are believed to have the potential to represent the club at a regional, national or international level.

This high level of training will not be suited to everyone, therefore if it is felt by the coaching team that this may be an option for your child, we will reach out to you directly.

YMCA Barry is a Centre of Excellence for Men’s Artistic Gymnastics and can boast at having the most successful men’s squad in Wales. YMCA Barry has a long history of success with the club having male gymnasts represent Wales at seven out of the ten most recent Commonwealth Games.

Children are continuously assessed within their classes to identify whether they have the physical attributes to compete in Men’s Artistic Gymnastics.

This high level of training will not be suited to everyone, therefore if it is felt by the coaching team that this may be an option for your child, we will reach out to you directly.
